Day 1 from the banks of the Suwannee River

Greetings Campers!

Night 1 on the road for 2015 (not counting the shakedown trip with the grand lad two weeks ago)!

Mrs. Cliche, 2/3 of the dog pack and me made our way from the Treasure Coast, through the land of the Mouse, through the rugged Florida Highlands (elevation over 200' above sea level!) and onto the banks of the Suwannee River.

This Florida State Park is dedicated to the preservation of the memory of Stephen Foster. You may remember his hits including "Way down upon the Suwanee River". I was amazed to learn that he is not held in the same circle of esteem as Nostradamus since that noted song, written in 1851 is the Florida State Song and also known as "Old Folks at Home". The question of the moment is: How prescient was this guy?

So, here's the pic of the day. The rig safely nestled in its berth for the evening. A prize will go to the reader who comes closest to answering the question:  How many mosquitoes are in this picture? (Hint: The willing answer will be in excess of 2 million)

Anyway, we are safe tucked inside of Florida mosquito proof aluminum. There have been rumors of squadrons of mosquitoes penetrating vinyl sided enclosures and draining the bodily fluids of the occupants... not pretty.

Tomorrow through the SW corner of Georgia and into Alabama for the night!
